    Born in 1920, Boston, Massachusetts. He received B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) in 1941. Beginning in 1941, he worked at the Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, D.C. In 1948 he joined the staff of the Research Laboratory of Electronics at M.I.T. In 1965 he joined the staff of the Damon Corporation, Needham Heights, Massachusetts. He died in 1998.
