Born 1873 in Sheffield, England; son of John Brown; he immigrated to the United States in 1891; brother of Calvin Brown. He established Kinetic Engineering with Robert P. Elliot in New York City, New York, c. 1904. He was later with Austin firm of Hartford, Connecticut, 1910, as a designer; with firm in New York, 1919. Brown died in 1952.
