    Adopted by a Mr. Bourne of Kennebunk, father of Joseph Alley, Jr.; built experimental organ with Henry Ward Poole (and C. Somerby?), c. 1848 to after 1853; active in Newburyport, Massachusetts, 1826–1851; became pipemaker.
