Notes

  • Identified through information adapted from E. M. Skinner/Aeolian-Skinner Opus List, by Sand Lawn and Allen Kinzey (Organ Historical Society, 1997), and included here through the kind permission of Sand Lawn:
Additions to Op. 892B (1934) (Database Manager. 2006-11-16)
  • Updated through online information from Richard C Greene. -- The Northrop Auditorium is being rebuilt. The room will be downsized from a 4800 seat to a 2800 seat auditorium. Foley-Baker, Inc. has removed the 1936, 108r G. Donald Harrison Aeolian Skinner. The chambers are being redesigned, and the grille will be made more sound-transparent. There are no plans to change the specification or tonal design of the organ. (Database Manager. 2011-03-02)
  • Updated through online information from Stephen Hall. -- The hall was rebuilt between 2011 and 2014, and the organ was placed in storage. The hall re-opened in 2014 with fewer seats but greatly improved acoustics. On April 2, 2015, University president Eric Kaler announced the presentation of a four million dollar gift to the university, part of which would be used to return the organ to Northrop Hall.
