Slider chests. Mechanical key action. Mechanical stop action.

Two manuals. 13 stops. 18 registers. 15 ranks. 842 pipes. Manual compass is 58 notes. Pedal compass is 27 notes.

The organ is in a gallery-level case at the rear of the room. Traditional style console with a keyboard cover that can be lifted to form a music rack. The organ has an attached keydesk.

Drawknobs in horizontal rows on terraced/stepped jambs. Balanced swell shoes/pedals, not in standard AGO position. Combination Action: Fixed mechanical system. Flat straight pedalboard.

  • Updated through on-line information from David M Storey. -- This is the least altered of all extant Niemann organs. It is complete, original and unaltered with hand pumped winding (or electric blower) and double rise bellows. Thoroughly restored and in regular weekly use. It was Niemann's last organ, built in 1897. He died in 1899. (Database Manager. November 20, 2005)
