Notes

  • Contract: August 7, 1917 for $43,000, including Duo-Art player. Two consoles: 4-manual in Living Hall, and 2-manual in Oratory for playing only the nine-stop Echo-Oratory Organ. Shipped November 11, 1919.
    Contract: October 17, 1923 - Chimes added
    Contract: December 26, 1924 for $22,900 - 26 ranks added (Steven E. Lawson. June 10, 2016)
  • Following the death of Mr. Brady in 1930, Mrs. Brady donated Inisfada to a religious society (Jesuits) that used it as a seminary and retreat house for over 75 years. The Living Hall became the chapel, and the organ was undisturbed. (Steven E. Lawson. June 10, 2016)
  • In 2013 the house and estate were sold to a developer for $36.5 million. The new owner had the mansion demolished, despite efforts by the Long Island Historical Society and others. Many details were saved by specialist firms. The Organ Clearing House of Boston was retained to build hundreds of crates, and to label, catalog and pack the Aeolian's 5,500 pipes, as well as its two consoles, dual blowers and tons of mechanism. After hundreds of man hours over two weeks, the entire instrument was carefully moved to a nearby storage warehouse. (Steven E. Lawson. June 10, 2016)
