Technical Details

Electro-pneumatic (EP) pitman chests.

Four manuals. 71 stops. 86 registers. 94 ranks. 6033 pipes. Manual compass is 61 notes. Pedal compass is 32 notes.

The organ is in center chambers at the front of the room with visible façade pipes or case front. Traditional style console. The console is movable.

Drawknobs in vertical rows on angled jambs. Balanced swell shoes/pedals. Concave radiating pedalboard.

Notes

  • Norton memorial organ. Installed 1931. Tone blocked by 1958 orchestral shell. Relocated in building and restored in 2000. 6024 pipes. Stoplist is in the pre-1955 edition of Barnes, The Contemporary American Organ. (OHS PC Database. October 30, 2004)
