The organ is in a gallery-level case at the rear of the room. Traditional style console. The organ has an attached keydesk.

Two manuals. 3 divisions. 22 stops. 20 registers. 38 ranks. Manual compass is 56 notes. Pedal compass is 32 notes.

Slider chests. Mechanical key action. Mechanical stop action.

Drawknobs in horizontal rows on terraced/stepped jambs. No enclosed divisions. No combination action. Concave radiating pedalboard.

Notes:

• Identified through on-line information from Floyd Higgins. -- The Steere & Turner was heavily rebuilt in 1974 by Henderson and Wilson and provided with a new facade using old pipes. Swell box was eliminated and the stoplist was a hybrid instrument in a neo-Germanic/French Classic style, bristling with mixtures. The organ was a favorite of Anthony Newman who recorded the complete works of Bach on it on the Vox label. Newman's wife Mary Jane taught music at the school for a few years. Around the year 2001, the school solicited proposals to rebuild the organ, but in the end, a new electronic organ was installed. Only the 1974 facade was retained. (Database Manager. 2007-04-04)
